At Emtrain, we provide benchmarking to help contextualize your results against those of similar organizations. Benchmarks help identify how your culture, risk indicators, and workplace experiences compare across industries.
When We Benchmark by Industry
We apply industry-specific benchmarking only when we have enough data to ensure it's meaningful:
- If 30 or more clients in your industry have responded to a particular question, we benchmark your results against your industry.
- If fewer than 30 clients in your industry have responded to that question, we benchmark your results against all clients across all industries.
This threshold ensures the benchmark is relevant and avoids misleading comparisons.
Industry Categories
Our industry categories are derived from NAICS codes. In cases where the NAICS code is outdated or doesn't logically fit the organization's business model, we recategorize manually.
The industries we use for benchmarking are:
- Accommodation and Food Services
- Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services
- Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation
- Construction
- Educational Services
- Finance and Insurance
- Health Care and Social Assistance
- Information
- Manufacturing
- Nonprofit or Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
- Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services
- Public Administration
- Real Estate and Rental and Leasing
- Retail Trade
- Transportation and Warehousing
- Utilities
