In Australia, employers are now legally required to take proactive steps to prevent workplace harassment—not just respond when it happens. With the 2022 Respect@Work amendments and the introduction of a “positive duty” under the Sex Discrimination Act, organizations must go beyond policies and complaints systems.

They must take meaningful action to eliminate harassment, discrimination, and hostile workplace environments before they occur. Our training helps ensure your workplace meets these expectations—while building a culture of respect, inclusion, and psychological safety.

What's new?

  • New videos and lessons, while still covering particularly timely topics

As a staple of our Preventing Workplace Harassment series, the course also provides the shared language of the Workplace Colour Spectrum® so people can colour-code conduct, not people, and give instant feedback to course-correct in real-time.

Training Recommendations:

Emtrain helps clients meet their legal obligation under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 and the Respect@Work reforms.

This Course Teaches:

  • How to use the Workplace Colour Spectrum to identify conduct from healthy and respectful to toxic and unlawful.
  • Ways to develop your respect skills to become more intentional in your actions and navigating social dynamics.
  • How to identify what behaviour crosses the line into unlawful harassment and/or bullying, and the laws that apply.
  • The policies and procedures for reporting and/or addressing inappropriate conduct.

Emtrain’s version 13 of our Preventing Workplace Harassment course enables you to:

  1. Meet training requirements.
  2. Use a shared language to enable feedback, common ground, and course-correct in real-time.
  3. Identify, measure, and manage the organizational and employee behaviors that lead to disrespect.
  4. Benchmark your workplace culture against others and leverage Emtrain’s content, data, and ecosystem of experts to help you improve your culture.
