The comprehensive training Course delves into important topics such as bullying, harassment, and workplace violence. It equips employees with practical and effective strategies to proactively maintain a respectful workplace. Additionally, the course guides learners to thoroughly review and acknowledge their employer's policies and reporting procedures.
By prioritizing respect and investing in this training program, organizations can pave the way for a more cohesive, respectful, and productive working environment for all.In individuals from various generations, races, and ethnicities, it is crucial to recognize that "respectful" behavior can mean different things to different people. To foster an inclusive environment, we highly recommend implementing an annual respect training program. This program aims to cultivate a shared language and establish clear behavioral standards that promote respect among your workforce.
What's new?
1. Structural Efficiency
- Reduced Lessons: The course has been consolidated from 18 lessons down to 13.
- Integrated Content: Standalone lessons from Version 12 (such as "Bystanders to Upstanders," "Chat App Respect," and "Mental Health") have been integrated into broader categories in Version 13.
- Manager Roles: The "Manager's Role" is no longer a separate lesson; it is now woven into the "Reporting and Investigations" section.
2. Updated Video Scenarios
Version 13 replaces several older videos with more modern workplace examples:
- Intro: Replaced "We Are All Different" with "It’s About Culture Skills."
- Harassment: The "Lisa vs. Sam" conflict is replaced by a new harassment scenario.
- Reprisal: The "Sean/Manager" complaint is replaced by "A Change in Schedule."
- Violence: Added a new "Angry Customer" scenario to address external third-party harassment.
3. Content & Terminology Shifts
- Focus: Shifts from basic "Respect" to developing "Culture Skills."
- Expanded Scope: Lesson 4 now explicitly includes "Psychological Harassment" in its title.
- Violence Prevention: Increased emphasis on the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan and official policy acknowledgments.
As a staple of our Preventing Workplace Harassment series, the course also provides the shared language of the Workplace Colour Spectrum® so people can colour-code conduct, not people, and give instant feedback to course-correct in real-time.
