Adults who supervise, manage, or provide professional services to minors carry a legal and ethical responsibility to protect them from harm. Two targeted versions of the Mandated Reporter Training course are available, designed specifically for Retail, HR Professionals, and Managers (under California AB 1963) and Talent Professionals (under California AB 653 / The CAMERA Act).
These courses take the guesswork out of compliance by clarifying legal obligations, defining reportable harm, and outlining step-by-step reporting protocols. Both versions ensure professionals understand that "reasonable suspicion" — not absolute proof — triggers the duty to act, giving learners the confidence to protect minors and keep organizations fully compliant.
This Course Teaches:
- How to navigate specific audience mandates, distinguishing duties for store managers vs. HR under AB 1963 and talent agents, managers, and coaches under AB 653 (CAMERA Act).
- How to identify red flags across physical, behavioral, and digital indicators, including grooming, neglect, emotional abuse, and commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC).
- How to apply the reasonable suspicion standard, ensuring you report promptly without investigating, confronting abusers, or promising secrecy.
- How to execute the reporting process, from immediate phone reports to CPS/police to filing the written report (Form SS 8572) within 36 hours.
- How to leverage good-faith legal protections and avoid criminal misdemeanor penalties for failing to report.
