You can update a user profile manually at any time. This can be helpful if you have just one or two users to update and don’t want to wait for your next roster import.
Both LMS-connected and Emtrain-hosted accounts can edit a user profile. If you have an LMS-connected account, only update Admin user profiles in Emtrain, since you manage learner data in your LMS. Learn more in Understanding Account Types.
Update a Profile
Follow these steps to edit a user profile:
- Navigate to Users and find the user you want to update in the Users Table.
- Select View Profile for the user.
- From the user's profile, select the Edit User button.
- Edit the profile fields.
- After your edits are complete, select the Save button.
Keep in mind that changes to a user's profile may impact their group membership—removing them from current groups or adding them to different ones. Review the user's group memberships under the Groups heading in their profile before saving your changes.
Keep Data in Sync
Remember that data from your HRIS could overwrite any manual updates you make to user profiles—be sure both are in sync.
