Emtrain content will look just like any other external course in Workday – you can enroll, launch, and complete training with ease.
-
Discover Emtrain Training Content
- In Workday, view any assigned Emtrain content on your Learning Home page.
- If instead you'd like to find additional training options, open Browse Learning and filter by Content Provider = Emtrain to view all Emtrain content available to you.
- To learn more, click on any Emtrain course tile to open it's content overview page, where you can see its title, description, duration, and other useful information.
-
Enroll & Start
- Open an Emtrain course you are assigned or want to take.
- If you see an Enroll button you need to click it to enroll in the course first, and may have to wait for approval before being able to proceed.
- Once you see a "Start Content" button, click that to being the course.
- In the External Course modal, click Launch Content to access the course.
-
The Emtrain course will launch in a new tab (you should automatically login via SSO)
-
Complete the Training in Emtrain
- In Emtrain, the training you launched should automatically open.
- If you've started other Emtrain courses, you will see them in your "To Do" list. You can access them directly from here - any progress you make will be recorded in Workday.
- Go through your training by clicking through all the content cards - reading the text, watching the videos & answering questions.
- For help navigating the Emtrain learning environment, watch this video.
- For help figuring out how to complete your Emtrain training, read this article.
- One you complete your training in Emtrain, you can close the page and return to Workday.
- In Workday you can refresh the course's Content Overview page or access your Transcript, and see the course status updated to Completed.
- In Emtrain, the training you launched should automatically open.
If you wish to review Emtrain training you previously completed, you can do so by finding the content under the "Completed" tab in your Emtrain account. You cannot review completed Emtrain content by launching it from Workday, as clicking either the "review" or "retake" options will generate a new enrollment for that training. While this will not impact your previous completion data, the course will then show as "In Progress" in Workday.
