What it takes to finish depends on the type of assignment you were given.
Courses are made up of several lessons. You must work through every lesson to complete the assignment. Some courses also carry a minimum time requirement.
Microlessons are short assignments covering a single topic. They have no time requirement and are complete once you've viewed all the content.
Checking your lesson progress
The panel on the left lists every lesson in the course. Completed lessons are marked with a checkmark. The lesson you're currently viewing is highlighted so you can always find your place: blue while you're still working through it, green once it's complete. If your assignment is a single standalone lesson rather than a multi-lesson course, the panel shows one status card in place of the lesson list. |
A lesson is marked complete when you reach the Lesson Complete message at the bottom of the page.
Completing a course
At the end of each lesson, select Continue to move on. You don't have to select Continue for the lesson to count as complete, though it's the quickest way to reach the next one. Continue always takes you to the next lesson you still need to finish, so if you've taken lessons out of order, this may not be the lesson directly below the one you just finished.
Once every lesson is complete, Continue takes you to the Course Complete page. It confirms you're done and shows a closing message for the course. If a certificate is available, a Download completion certificate link appears at the bottom of the page.
If you expect a certificate and don't see one, confirm you've completed the course as described above, then check with your training administrator to find out whether certificates are enabled for your assignment.
Finish by selecting Save & Exit, either on the Course Complete page or in the bar at the top of the screen. This submits your results to your company's training system.
Courses with a minimum time requirement
Some courses require that you spend a minimum amount of time in the training before they count as complete. These courses have a tracker at the top of the left panel, above the lesson list. It shows the number of minutes required, a green bar that grows as you go, and the minutes you've completed so far. Once you've met the requirement, the tracker changes to a green Time Requirement met bar. |
The timer only counts time you're actively in the training. If you leave the training idle for five minutes, your progress pauses and a message appears on screen. Select Continue to resume your session and restart the timer.
For a course with a minimum time requirement, finishing every lesson isn't enough to complete the course. If you select Continue on the final lesson before you've met the requirement, a screen appears in place of the Course Complete page telling you how much time you've spent and how much is left.
Go back to any lesson and keep reviewing until you've met the time requirement. While you're doing this, a bar showing your minutes completed and remaining stays fixed at the top of the screen as you scroll.
As soon as you've met the requirement, it turns into a green Course Complete! banner, with a button to download your certificate if the course has one.
Reopening a course you've finished
If you reopen a course you've already completed, it opens to the first lesson rather than the last one you were viewing. The green Course Complete! banner appears at the top of each lesson, with a button to download your certificate if the course has one.
