Audio narration reads the text of your training aloud as you move through a lesson. It's there if you find listening easier than reading, or if you'd rather follow along by ear while you work through the content. Narration covers the text on screen. Videos have their own audio and their own controls in the player.

Turning narration on and off

Select the speaker icon from the round buttons on the right side of the screen. An × next to the speaker means narration is off. Narration begins as soon as you turn it on. It starts off each time you launch your training, so you'll need to turn it on again at the start of every session. |
The narration controls

Once narration is on, a set of controls appears at the top of the content you're currently on, with a play/pause button and a speed control offering rates from 0.25x up to 2x. Your speed setting carries over from one piece of content to the next for the rest of the session. A waveform in the controls moves while narration is playing. If it's moving but you can't hear anything, check your device's volume. If you pause narration and start it again, it plays the current piece of content from the beginning rather than picking up where it left off. |
What to expect while narration plays
Narration reads one piece of content at a time. When it finishes, it scrolls to the next one and keeps going, so you don't need to scroll along with it.
Narration pauses when content needs something from you — a video to watch, a question to answer — and a message tells you what it's waiting for. In some cases narration picks back up on its own once you've done it; in others you'll need to press play to continue.
Narration also pauses if you scroll ahead or back to different content, and it stops at the end of each lesson. In both cases, press play to start reading again from wherever you are.
Occasionally narration skips a piece of content without reading it, or stops and doesn't continue on its own. If that happens, scroll to the next piece of content and press play to start again.
