An Account Admin is a user who has been given admin privileges. With account admin privileges, that user can access the administrative side of the Emtrain app, known as Manage.
Users can be assigned admin privileges by another Admin with unrestricted access or with access to Users. They can also have those admin privileges removed when they no longer need them.
You can assign admin privileges when you are setting up a new user in the system. Alternatively, you can assign admin privileges to an existing user whose responsibilities have changed—and they need access to the administrative side of the Emtrain app.
Granting an Existing User Account Admin Access
To give an existing user account admin privileges, start in the Users area of Manage.
- Navigate to Users and find the user in the Users Table.
- Select the link to view the user's profile.
- From the user's profile screen, select the Edit User button on the right.
- With the user’s profile open, scroll down to User Role. This is a required field (marked with an asterisk).
- Select the Account Admin radio button, which shows the Admin User Role dropdown menu. The Unrestricted option is selected by default, followed by any available admin user roles that you or other admins may have previously created.
- If you want the Admin to have limited access, select the appropriate admin user role from the dropdown. Otherwise, leave it set to Unrestricted.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to select the Save button.

Removing a User’s Account Admin Access
If you want to remove admin privileges for a user, follow the steps above to grant access. At Step 5, select the radio button for User instead of Account Admin. Then scroll to the bottom of the page, and select the Save button.
