The Assignment Status column in the Completion Report and User Assignments List displays where each learner stands with their assigned training. This helps you understand how learners are progressing overall and identify anyone who might need extra support or follow-up.
The column displays one of the following statuses:
Not Started
A Not Started status means that a learner hasn’t begun the content or training assignment. While they may have received notification(s) about the training, they haven’t engaged with it.
In Progress
An In Progress status tells you the learner has started their training and has engaged with at least the first screen, or lesson card. They’ll stay at this status until they finish the entire assignment. Check the percentage displayed in the adjacent Content Completed column to understand how much progress they’ve made.
Keep in mind that if the training has a minimum time requirement configured, the learner will also need to meet that to fully complete the assignment. Check the Required Minutes column to see how much of the required time they have completed.
Completed
A Completed status means that a user has fully completed the assigned training. The adjacent Content Completed column will display 100% percent completion. Any assigned minimum time requirement will be completed as well, as learners cannot complete training until meeting the time requirement when one is included.
Canceled
A Canceled status can mean several things, and the specific reason will appear in the Assignment Status column:
- "Canceled: User Removed from Group" appears when the learner moved out of the group connecting them to the training assignment prior to completing it. This usually happens due to a change in their user profile data, like a promotion, department change, or relocation.
- "Canceled: User Deactivated" appears when the learner was deactivated by an admin prior to completing the training assignment, causing it to be canceled.
- "Canceled: Campaign Withdrawn" appears when a learner didn’t complete their training and an admin withdrew the campaign that contained the assignment. For example, you might withdraw last year’s harassment prevention training before you assign this year’s version, preventing learners from accidentally restarting an old assignment they hadn’t finished.
