Campaign notifications are email messages you set up to communicate with learners about their assigned training. This article explains what campaign notifications are, options you have for setting them up, and how they help learners stay informed and engaged with their training.
Why Set Up Notifications?
Campaign notifications help you communicate effectively with learners throughout their training. By configuring these messages in advance, you ensure learners receive timely information about new assignments, reminders about upcoming deadlines and incomplete assignments, and acknowledgment of their completed assignments. These automated communications keep learners informed (and reduce your administrative workload).
Types of Campaign Notifications
You can configure four types of notifications to support learners at different stages of their training journey: Welcome, Reminder, Past Due, and Completion. Each notification type serves a specific purpose in guiding learners through their assignments. Learn more in Types of Campaign Notifications.
Scheduling Notifications
You can control when and how your training communications are sent to learners. When you set up a campaign, you configure which notifications will be sent to learners and when they'll receive them. This advance planning ensures consistent communication with learners throughout the campaign. Every campaign is pre-loaded with a Welcome message, which you can edit. Add additional notifications beyond the Welcome notification to keep learners aware of their training assignments. Learn more in Timing Campaign Notifications.
Notification Settings
You can create meaningful subject lines to promote learner engagement with their assignments. Additionally, you can choose to configure sender information including "from" name and email address or set up a dedicated reply-to address for learner questions—however, you must coordinate this with your IT team to prevent spam filter issues and spoofing. You can also choose to copy managers on notifications to help them track their direct reports' training progress. Learn more about Creating Campaign Notifications.
Drafting Notification Messages
Writing notification messages plays a crucial role in communicating about training assignments to learners. You can use formatting to add emphasis and include links. Use our Notifications Templates to get started with drafting notifications. For guidance on using color, bold, and other styling options, read Formatting Text in Campaign Notifications.
