You can edit or delete campaign notifications anytime, regardless of a campaign’s status.
Editing notifications can be helpful if you need to add clarifying information to a notification message, update its timing, or change its settings. Deleting notifications can be useful when you have more notifications scheduled than you need to successfully manage a campaign.
Editing a Notification
To edit a notification:
- Navigate to Campaigns via the Manage menu.
- Locate the campaign that you want to edit notifications for from the displayed list, and select it. This opens the campaign.
- Select the option to View and Edit Notifications listed under Notifications. This opens the Notifications panel within the campaign.
- Find the notification that you want to edit and click on the pencil icon. This opens the notification.
- Make any necessary changes to the notification. For guidance, read Creating Campaign Notifications.
- Double-check the notification’s timing, then save your changes by selecting the Save button. The updated notification will be scheduled or sent immediately.
Be careful when editing notifications in active campaigns—you might accidentally send too many or they may send sooner than you expect. Learn more in Adding, Modifying, or Deleting Notifications in an Active Campaign.
Use caution when editing the message body of a notification so that your formatting is as expected and within the character limits. Learn more in Formatting Text in Campaign Notifications.
Deleting a Notification
To delete a notification:
- Follow Steps 1-4 in Editing a Notification above to open the notification you want to delete.
- From within the notification, select the Delete button at the bottom of the message. This triggers a pop-up message prompting you to confirm the deletion.
- Select the Yes, I’m sure button to proceed. Alternatively, select the No, cancel button to stop the process.
Do not delete Welcome or Completion notification types. These notifications tell learners when they have new training assignments and confirm when they’ve completed their training.
