Can I edit rules in a dynamic group?

Yes, you can edit existing rules in dynamic groups at any time, even if a group is connected to an active campaign. Exercise caution when editing rules because they are based on logic statements that impact all group members and who receives assignments.

Some reasons why you might edit a rule:

  • To add more US states to an existing rule. If your group includes US State IS CA and you want employees in additional states to receive the same training, update the rule to US State IS CA, DE, ME, NY, IL, etc. Be sure to input the additional states into the same value field.
  • To keep specific individuals out of a group. You can input additional email addresses to exclude specific individuals from a group. For example, if your group includes Email IS NOT name@company.com, you can add more email addresses in the same field, such as Email IS NOT name@company.com, name2@company.com, name3@company.com
