The content details page gives you in-depth information about each title in the Content Library. Use this article to learn how to navigate the details page, understand version naming conventions, and work with content before deploying training.

The details page has two sections: A content summary at the top and information about each version of the content at the bottom.

For help understanding the content details page for the United States version of Preventing Workplace Harassment, read Preventing Workplace Harassment-US Content Details Page.

Content Summary

The top section of the details page provides general information about the content, including its edition and a general description.

Version Information

The bottom section of the details page displays in-depth information about each version of the content.

Version Dropdown Menu

When a title has multiple versions, you’ll see a dropdown menu. The section below the menu displays details about the version listed first in that dropdown. To explore other versions, select one from the menu and the information will update automatically.

To help you distinguish between versions, the options listed in the dropdown menu follow this pattern: Edition - Audience (Duration) - Content ID.

Example Edition 1 - All Employees (30 min) - #1234 is a version that can be assigned to all employees

If you are reviewing a version that was customized for your company, “Custom” will also appear:

Example Custom - Edition 2 - Non-Manager (30 min) - #1234 is a customized non-manager version for your company

If the version is region-specific, a region will appear:

Example Edition 3 - CA Manager (25 min) - #1234 is a version specifically for managers in California

If the version contains a minimum time requirement, the word “timed” is included with the duration:

Example Edition 4 - All Employees (20 min timed) - #1234 is a timed version for all employees

A Prior Deployed Editions submenu appears if you have an Emtrain-hosted account and have used older editions in previous training. A Prior Downloaded Editions submenu appears if you have an LMS-connected account and contains older editions you've downloaded in the past.

Title for Learners

Each version of content has a default title that appears for learners. You can customize this title to better fit your organization’s needs.

Version Details

Next you'll find in-depth information about each version, including a summary description of what’s included in the version.

The table below the description includes the following details:

  • Audience: The employee types the content is for: managers, non-managers, or all employees.
  • Location: The regions the content serves, such as the U.S., a particular state in the U.S., another country, or all locations.
  • Duration: How long on average it takes a learner to work through the content. If the content has a minimum time requirement, this appears as Required Time.
  • Content ID: The unique ID number for that version.
  • Edition: The edition number and its updates. For example, Edition 5.1.2 indicates the 5th edition in its first release with two minor updates.
  • Date Added: When this version was added to your account.

Lessons in This Version

For courses, you can expand a list of the Lessons contained in that version. Each lesson in the list shows the lesson title, a brief description, the Lesson ID number, and its duration.

Working with Content

The content details page offers several tools that vary according to your account type and the type of content you select. For example, if you select content that requires a company policy, the Manage Policies option appears, and if you have a LMS-connected account type, the option to download a SCORM file appears.

Preview Content

Once you select a version of the content to learn about, you can preview it to understand how content will appear for your learners. Learn more in Previewing Content.

Manage Policies

As part of training, learners may need to acknowledge company policies. If content requires a policy but you haven't uploaded one yet, Manage Policies will display with an alert icon—a pink bubble with an exclamation point (!).

When a title has multiple versions, alerts are version-specific. One version might be missing a policy and another fully configured. Check each version you plan to use and verify it doesn't have an alert.

Learn more about Managing Policies.

Optional Configurations

Optional Configurations are settings that enable you to customize how a course appears for your learners, including a Course Completion Message, a Course Completion Certificate, and a Minimum Time requirement

Copy Link to Training (Emtrain-hosted accounts)

If you have an Emtrain-hosted account, use this feature to give users access to training without setting up a formal campaign or due dates. Learn more about Sharing Content Without a Campaign

Download SCORM File (LMS-connected accounts)

If you have an LMS-connected account, you assign content via your LMS. Use this option to download content so you can add it to your LMS. If you previously downloaded a SCORM file, the date it was last downloaded is also displayed. Learn more in Downloading SCORM Files.
